MALIA

Malia is one of the most famous touristic areas of Crete. It is a very busy area and ideal for those who like parties and an intense night life. Although in the past it used to be famous for its delicious potatoes that supplied the whole island of Crete, nowadays the potato fields are replaced by large tourist settlements. In Malia guests can find a variety of beaches, most of them are organized and sandy and attract many tourists every year.

HERSONISSOS

Hersonissos is located between Anissaras and Stalis and is one of the most famous tourist resorts of Crete. KNOSSOS

Knossos is the most important archaeological site of Crete located just 5 km southeast of Heraklion. During the Minoan times, Knossos was the seat of the legendary King Minos and the main center of power in Crete. Nowadays Knossos is full of vines and olives while in the past it was covered in oaks and cypress trees. There are many organized tours from Stalis to Knossos.

KRASI

Krasi is a village near Malia that is mostly known for its three plane trees. The most important tree is a plane tree located in the center of the square that is considered to be the oldest plane tree in the whole island of Crete. Apart from that, Krasi is a very traditional village with many taverns where guests can enjoy their lunch or dinner.

MOHOS

Mohos is a small traditional mountain village, located on the hills right above Stalis. The village is untouched by mass tourism and there guests can experience the traditional Cretan way of life. The main point of interest in the village is the church of Panayia with the impressive icons, murals and wall paintings.
